Israel Tovar

World History Teacher

Israel Tovar teaches World History II and AP World History in Washington DC and co-leads his school’s Queer and Trans Student Alliance. He is also a cofounder of The Dream Teacher Project. Previously, he taught Mexican American history in San José, California, and middle school U.S. history in Nashville. Israel has also been a lead instructor for the Yale Young Global Scholars Program in New Haven, Connecticut, and has been awarded his school’s Trailblazer Award two years consecutively.
