George Lucas Educational Foundation

Ellie Gilbert

Teacher, Researcher, Writer, Ed Geek

I'm a Learning Specialist, High School English instructor, and Teacher Researcher in Portland, Or. I earned my M.Ed. from Lewis and Clark College, where I occasionally serve as an adjunct instructor. In addition to my full-time teaching in the classroom, I facilitate three Teacher-Research groups. I write for Lead Literacy and Choice Literacy and was recently featured on the Huffington Post's education section. I also present regularly at regional and national educational and technology conferences. This year I am serving as a Schoology and NoRedInk Ambassador. When I'm not in the classroom, I'm hiking one of the beautiful forest paths near my home.
