Elaine Heiskell

Early Childhood Educator

Elaine Heiskell is a certified Early Childhood Educator since 1989. She holds an MS Ed degree from the Bank Street College of Education in New York. She currently teaches in Central Oregon for the High Desert ESD’s Early Childhood Special Education Program.

Elaine has taught early learners in New York, Oregon and the Dominican Republic.  Curiosity and continued learning are the pillars of her practice.  Innovative collaboration with colleagues is crucial to the success of her program.

When not with her students, Elaine enjoys hiking by the Deschutes river, practicing yoga, reading and writing.
