Deepak Kulkarni

A scientist who teaches creative math problem solving

Deepak Kulkarni is a scientist at NASA who has taught creative math problem solving as a hobby over the last ten years. In 1980s, he did research on models of creative thinking that leads to scientific discoveries. He is known for making mathematics learning a truly enjoyable experience for his students. Furthermore, his approach to teaching has been very effective in improving creative problem solving skills for his students. He has authored three books on teaching math with puzzles: "Enjoying Math: Learning Problem Solving with KenKen Puzzles", "Enjoying Math: Mastering MOEMS Math Olympiad Problems with Fun Puzzles", and "Fun Puzzles with Math Olympiad Problems as Clues."
