I am the co-founder and Executive Director of World Savvy, and a recognized expert in the field of global education. I've dedicated my professional life to engaging youth in community and world affairs, to close the global competence gap in American education through our work with more than 375,000 and 2,200 educators. I speak frequently on global citizenship and social entrepreneurship, and I am an Ashoka Fellow (social entrepreneurship) and recent recipient of the Tides Foundation’s Jane Bagley Lehman Award for Public Advocacy. I've been published in Forbes and recently did a TEDx talk on global competence in K-12 education. I care passionately about preparing the next generation for responsible, engaged global citizenship in a world that is increasingly interconnected and interdependent.
