Anthony Pellegrino

Assistant Professor of Education, The University of Tennessee

Anthony M. Pellegrino, a veteran social studies teacher, received his Ph.D. from Florida State University in 2007 and is currently assistant professor of history and social studies education at the University of Tennessee where he teaches courses on methods of teaching secondary schools, foundations of education, research on teacher education and education and culture. His research interests include teaching and learning social studies, youth-centered pedagogies, and clinical experiences of preservice teachers. He has published one book and more than two dozen articles, chapters and media reviews in journals such as The History Teacher, The High School Journal, Social Studies Research and Practice, Action in Teacher Education, American Secondary Education, and Theory and Research in Social Education.
