Annie Tan

Annie Tan is an elementary special education teacher in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, where she teaches primarily Chinese and Latino youth. She returns to her hometown of New York, having previously worked in Chicago Public Schools and as an active member of the Chicago Teachers Union. She is a proud member of #educolor and has been active in campaigns on local, city, and state levels in Chicago, #AAPIs4BlackLives, #resistTFA, social justice teacher unionism, special education rights, and education funding.
