Mandie currently works as a consultant for science and for gifted and talented with Central Rivers Area Education Agency in Cedar Falls, Iowa, and an independent contractor with OpenSciEd. In this role, Mandie supports science educators and administrators in a variety of areas including: curriculum development and adoption, vertical articulation, alignment to the NGSS, inquiry-based teaching practices, and collaboration around “all things science.” Central Rivers AEA serves over 63,500 Iowa students including 53 public school districts and 18 non-public school districts.
