Currently, I teach project-based learning STEAM to high school students and I think it is of the utmost importance for them to learn communication and collaboration before college and ultimately, to better prepare them for the workforce. From a classroom community standpoint, it also helps them to foster stronger interpersonal relationships when there are clear roles / responsibilities / boundaries in the projects that they are in. I am curious - no matter what grade you teach - how do you keep students accountable in group projects for equitable workload / all voices heard / etc?
