I have lots of comprehension strategies for annotating text and active reading, but the majority of the reading my students are asked to do is on the computer. Students say that reading on the computer is very difficult for them, and it is largely a solo activity within a quiet classroom. Additionally, they are asked to navigate through 8-10 google classrooms, sometimes more, which seems to require both executive functioning and working memory that they do not yet have.
