Selim Tlili

High School Biology and Chemistry Teacher

Selim Tlili is a high school biology and chemistry teacher at the Beekman School in New York City. He has taught biology for the past 16 years for the NYC Department of Education and independent schools, including the Rudolf Steiner School, where he learned to draw, and the Ramaz School, where he made drawing an integral part of his science curriculum. He has a bachelor’s degree in biology from SUNY Geneseo and a master’s degree in environmental public health from Hunter College. He has written articles on education for the Hechinger Report and the Heterodox Academy. He writes about education, literature, and science at Selim.Digital.
