Jamie Gregory

High School Teacher Librarian

Jamie is a National Board certified teacher in library media entering her sixth year as a high school teacher librarian at James F. Byrnes High School in Duncan, South Carolina. She previously taught high school English and French for eight years. She is currently the vice chair of the South Carolina Book Award Committees and will serve as the chairperson next. She has previously been published in Teacher Librarian, VOYA, and School Library Monthly as well as on the ProQuest blog and the blog 52 Weeks of Guided Inquiry.

She is passionate about establishing student-centered learning environments through inquiry-based methods, authentic learning experiences, and individualized reading goals. The highlight of the school year for her is helping students celebrate their Freedom to Read during Banned Books Week each September.
