Dawn De Lorenzo

Special Education Teacher

Dawn De Lorenzo has been a special education teacher for 23 years. She is a CERI Certified Structured Language Teacher and the Teacher Leader for Union Township Schools in Hampton, NJ.

She is an Educator in Residence with the PROGRESS Center and a Teacher Leader Policy Fellow for JerseyCAN. She holds a Master's degree in Curriculum & Instruction and obtained an Ed.S. from Seton Hall University, where she is currently a doctoral student in Educational Leadership, Management and Policy.

Dawn is deeply passionate about all students' right to learn to read. As a special education teacher, she advocates for students with special needs to be provided with the highest quality education in order to become self-actualized, contributing members of society.
