Albert Einstein Distinguished Educator Fellow

Amy Szczepanski began her teaching journey nine years ago teaching science in Detroit and later relocated to New York City. Amy is currently serving a yearlong position as an Albert Einstein Distinguished Educator Fellow at the Department of Energy in Washington, DC. Amy’s educational mission is to create classes and learning experiences where cities and neighborhoods become interactive classrooms, students acquire skills that are directly applicable to their lives, and traditional teaching methods are transformed, shifting from teacher-led to student-led.
