Dear Peggy, what a great job you did. That maze of vendors was more than amazing, it was hard to navigate. I think people could have spent the time trying to weave through that huge group of vendors. I gave up because of limited time. It was just too huge. There were a few more that were of interest to me, but they did not know how to exhibit to teachers. I liked the ESRI resources, but I admit that I knew them and the materials ahead of time. Those linked to the mywonderfulworld.org resources, which are a part of a geography campaign from several organizations including, NGS, ESRI, Earthwatch.org and NCGE. I also liked the AWARD reading for early primary, but again, I knew the program and was able to get more information as well. Perhaps many vendors with good information did not have great presentation skills or ways to introduce themselves to the audience there. Of interest to some of us who work internationally was the booth that gave us information about the $100 laptop, but the subject was well covered by Nicholas Negroponte, and may not have been a matter of intense debate to you, as it has been to lots of us online and in person. Along those lines were the resources on open source and David Thornburg's information on how to create resources using open source on one's personal computer. My Hero was a part of the poster sessions and was excellent. I don't know if they were also a vendor? Anyway Sara Armstrong did a strong presentation at the poster session.
