Opera To Go: The Met Offers High-Definition Live Transmissions

The Metropolitan Opera's Live in High Definition series, which transmits live performances to movie theaters around the world, is now available free to students in New York City schools, as well as at select theaters in regions across the country. The Met's The Metropolitan Opera in the Schools Web site also features educator guides and full-length classroom activities, student resources, audio clips, and postperformance activities. The 2008-09 schedule features performances of Dr. Atomic, by John Adams, Puccini's La Rondine and Madama Butterfly, and more.
