Q: What is
Macromedia Flash Player 6 and why do I need it?
A: Macromedia Flash Player 6 is a client
for rich Web experiences across multiple platforms. Flash
Player 6 is required to interact with the “Systemwide
Change” Web site and can be downloaded from the “Downloads”
section of the Macromedia Web site.
Q:
What do I do if I see a large white or gray rectangle on the
page?
A: The Flash Player may not be properly
installed on your computer. If you need help determining whether
or not the Flash Player is working correctly, visit the “Test
Macromedia Shockwave and Flash Players” Web site.
Q: What do
I do if I can't get the Flash Player to install on my computer?
A: Visit the “Macromedia
Flash Player Support Center” Web site for assistance
in troubleshooting installation issues.
Q: What if
I’ve properly installed the Flash Player but it still
doesn't work?
A: It’s possible that you have an
earlier version, such as Flash Player 5, installed on your
computer. You will need to upgrade to Flash Player 6. Visit
the “Downloads”
section of the Macromedia Web site.
You can also visit the “Macromedia
Flash Player Support Center” Web site for additional
troubleshooting suggestions.
For Mac users only: It’s
possible that you have downloaded but not installed the Flash
Player. (It does not install automatically on Macs.) Look
on your "Desktop" or in your browser’s download
folder for the downloaded install program. Then double-click
on it to begin installation.
Q:
What do I do if a video on the “Systemwide Change”
Web site stutters during playback or doesn’t play at
all?
A: Make sure that your computer meets the
minimum system requirements
above.
The video clips are best viewed on a broadband connection.
If you are on a low bandwidth connection, you might consider
using the audio clips instead of the video clips. The file
sizes are significantly smaller.
Q: What are
PDF files? How do I view them?
A: Portable Document Format (PDF) is a universal
file format the preserves all the fonts, formatting, graphics,
and color of any source document, regardless of the application
or platform used to create it. PDF files can be shared, viewed,
navigated, and printed exactly as intended by anyone with
free Adobe
Acrobat® Reader® software.
