Project Week – A Week to Do Whatever You Want

March 31, 2016 Updated March 28, 2016

Each year, students at my school take the week before spring break off from classes to explore the project of their choice.  I recently made a video documenting this year's Project Week and have students discuss the process as well as the value they find in it.

I know this may not be replicable in many schools, especially schools in large districts where there is little control over the schedule for the year, but I think you get to see the heart of what happens if the students get a little bit of time to explore something they're curious about.
