I am a 6th grade teacher and just made my first website for my classroom this summer. I am hoping to share the success that you talked about with my students. I can already see this will take a bit of time to update each week, but I am hoping in saves me some work time in the long run with having students use this resource instead of my old "homework folder." Also, at this grade level I feel that parents will benefit from this as well. The website will allow them to see what we are doing in class and allow them to print off any homework their son/daughter may have missed.

I love my Virtual learning Environment Moodle. All lesson tasks ppt and resources are available on each subject site and all lesson powerpoints/task out of school learning is set in the individual year or class sites with 25 classes 625 students last academic year this was the only way I stayed sane, monitoring/ marking/formative feedback was done online any time anywhere, with the IWB on no one was able to leave the class until their work was submitted! They can't tell me they have given it to me I have lost it, they definitely submitted it..."The computer does not lie, I tell them"...I think parental access is being arranged for next academic year.. I have said on many occasion I love my moodle, to which some grunts and sighs but mainly "thanks Miss for monitoring us like this and making everything available. win win i say.

I teach Grade 9 in a middle school and I have been using a website for my classes for about four years now. At the end of each school day I post homework and due dates on my web site. I also email my parents on a regular basis reminding them to check my web site. It took some getting used to by parents and students but it has helped free up time.
