It's unfortunate but I agree as well that these type of programs "will not achieve success without a supportive infrastructure in the school and district." As a parent very involved in SEL in both the elementary and high school district, I believe that that "supportive infrastructure" should include the parents as well and I know a number of parents wanting to learn more about SEL. Respectfully speaking, these kids are our kids and we need to have an essential role and voice in development, role-out and implementation if this is going to be done correctly.

On another subject, the hyperlink to Second Step is redirecting to a .com instead of a .org.
