This is an older blog but very useful. Before I started teaching I never gave much thought to teacher to teacher relationships. Now that I have completed my first year I see the value in understanding the complexities of peer relationships. Your statement, "I learned quickly that the one factor I could control was how I interacted with others to develop relationships that led to student success" is excellent advice.

Since being a brand new teacher, I have taught in several school districts which as resulted in being a new teacher several times. One piece of advice I would give is never begin as an "expert" knowing all the "answers". Nothing turns an experience teacher off more than a new teacher who glibly gives advice.
