Paul Darvasi

I teach high school English and media studies at Royal St. George's College in Toronto, Ontario. I'm a lifelong gamer who holds a Master's degree in Educational Technology (MET) and am a PhD candidate in York University's Faculty of Education with a research focus on video games and education. I designed The Ward Game, a pervasive novel study, and am co-designing Blind Protocol, an Alternate Reality Game (ARG) to instruct high school students on privacy and surveillance. My case studies on The Ward Game and Gone Home will be published as chapters in an upcoming book on frontier teachers from ETC Press. I'm an active member of the IGDA Learning and Education Games Special Interest Group and the co-director of the Toronto Student Film Festival. I write and speak about game-based learning and integrating a variety of games and game elements in classroom settings.
