Advance public policy objectives by representing the association before federal legislative and regulatory officials. Track annual federal budget and appropriations process including advancing the association's funding priorities and pursuing congressionally directed spending. Facilitate the submission of member requests for and secure congressionally directed spending. Analyze and report on legislation affecting association membership. Coordinate, develop and implement public policies, positions, comments, and strategies in support of advocacy objectives. Draft regulatory and legislative language, reports and memorandum for use in advocacy activities. Represent industry and association before related professional organizations and coalitions. Identify, organize and produce events to promote public awareness of association membership and policies. Communicate information on federal legislative and regulatory issues to association membership and other professional organizations.
