George Lucas Educational Foundation

Kathy Baron

Education is in my DNA. I'm the daughter and sister of teachers. I'm also a mother of two - one in college, who graduated from a public high school, and another just starting at our local public high school. I've been writing and reporting about education for at least 20 years, much of it on public radio. I moved to Edutopia because after so much time reporting on the failures of education in the United States, I want to tell the stories of success.
