Joanne Finnegan

I am the soon to be retired technology integration specialist for Chittenden East Supervisory Union in Vermont, a district with six elementary schools, two middle schools and a high school. I've been an educator since 1972. The first 27 years were spent teaching middle and high school math, but, my interest in technology was sparked when I started teaching computer programming at the high school level in 1983, back in the days when technology was all about word processing or BASIC programming. Now it seems I learn something new every day and I love working with teachers and students to enhance their experiences in the classroom. The very best part of my job is teaching summer graduate classes for teachers. This year, I'm co-teaching again with my friend and colleague from a neighboring district and I know I will learn as much as my "students" learn.
