George Lucas Educational Foundation

I've worked in Education 15 years. I love to inspire others to discover their personal journey for a love of literacy. I am also an advocate for teaching to the "whole-child" and empower students by teaching skills to help think in creative, innovative ways. I believe in 21st Century Practices but still stand firm with incorporating activities that may seem "old school" (i.e. handwriting, sustained reading, etc.). Lastly, I'm a voice to any lending ear about the political injustices that lie in our public education systems, or lack thereof. We must continue to strive for smaller teacher-student ratios, better working conditions for teachers, more fine arts and creativity in schools, and electing the Right People to Govern and Lead these Sacred Academies we call Public Schools.
