I am an adjunct teacher in the Education Department at National University in San Diego CA (but I live in Huntington Beach). I am interested in the connection between the neuro-sciences and the sciences of higher-order thinking, e.g., philosophy, psychology, the social sciences, political science, history, and generally culture.
My background: I am a "late bloomer" and only started my college education after I was 30 when philosophical studies caught my eye. Before that, I opened and ran a busy florist shop in Virginia for 7 years. I have one son and two wonderful grandchildren. I finally published my first book last year: "Finding the Mind: Pedagogy for Verifying Cognitional Theory" (2011) and am working on my second which is a critical reflection on the philosophy of history and culture.
