I am involve with the first USA Science & Engineering Festival as a K-12 outreach coordinator for student programs and competitions.
I am interested in helping advocate for technological literacy. I am a firm believer that 21st century science, engineering, and math education and success in the workplace is linked to adapting new technologies. The innovation and creativity that has supposedly been missing in traditional STEM classroom instruction can be sparked by new, innovative instructional and learning methods.
I am also interested in promoting the wider use of visual and interactive media in science education, as both a tool to educate and as immersive, inquiry based, project based, learning activities.
I am involved in science communications for the public, and I would like to develop, promote, and distribute non-commercial standards based science, technology, and engineering content curricula.
