Dawn Guy

I have been teaching for 20 years in Talladega County. I teach anatomy, physical science, chemistry, and biology at Fayetteville School. It is a small K-12 school right outside Sylacauga, Alabama. I am looking for ways to increase student engagement, critical thinking, and technolgy in my classes. My students have always done very well on the Biology portion of the Alabama High School Graduation Exam, but because of my involvement in 21st Century learning and the Teacher's Advisory Council in my district, I have begun to question what I am really teaching my students. I want them to think, connect science to real life, and be prepared to be productive, lifelong learners. I need help in meshing the content I am required to teach them with innovative and engaging lessons.
