As Founder of Reel Link Films, Vicki Abeles combines her passion for documentary films with seasoned executive management.
Vicki Abeles, an attorney and mother of three, found herself worn out by watching her own children navigate their days filled with school, homework, tutoring, and extracurricular activities. After a series of wake up calls including the suicide of a young, high-achieving girl in her community, Vicki set out with her camera to understand why children's lives more closely resemble high-powered CEOs than the type of childhood she had envisioned for her children.
Vicki began her career in 1986 at the prestigious New York law firm of Cahill, Gordon & Reindel, where she represented financial institutions, and domestic and international corporations in a wide range of transactions. In 1989 she joined Goldman Sachs where she developed and managed clients on the gold desk. By 1996 she was advising the media firm Outdoor Systems, (now part of Viacom), as it prepared to launch its IPO. For the past 10 years, she has advised clients on investments, legal and tax needs.
The vibrant mother of 3, Vicki is a passionate community leader who has served on a number of not-for-profit boards. She lives in California with her husband and three children.
