I really enjoy leading a school. I ask my teachers and staff to work hard to create a school out of our imaginations rather than out of our memories. I want our students to love their middle school experience, not just to survive it. I want them to bond with their teachers and know we care about them. Our eighth-graders sob at the end of their school year, hugging their teachers and one another. We demand a lot from our students because we believe in them. They hate it in the moment, and love it when they achieve their goals.
