WHAT WORKS IN EDUCATION The George Lucas Educational Foundation

Taja

I have worked in a life skills classroom for the past ten years. The students I have worked with have severe disabilities including: autism, down syndrome, TBI, deaf, blind, emotionally disturbed, and other health impaired. I am currently in the process of obtaining my mild/moderate license and will graduate in May 2014. My mother is a retired teacher who inspired and reached so many students. Her reputation as a teacher is outstanding. I have grown up watching my mother engage the most difficult students in active learning and have been shown that all students can learn. I hope to be as great as my mother and inspire motivation and engagement throughout my career as a teacher.
