I am a media specialist for a grade 5-6 building of about 580 students in a suburb of Columbus, Ohio. I'm an officer in our state association, OELMA (Ohio Educational Library Media Association.) I have been a media specialist in all grades, K-12, and have worked for almost 30 years. In addition to teaching at my school, I taught a graduate course for Kent State Univeristy's Library and Information Science program for several years. I am passionate about my profession, teaching kids to excel in the 21st century, and helping them develop a lifelong love of reading and inquiry. I'm working on a blog, and I love delicious, Library Thing, Wordle, and I'm trying out Animoto which I hope to use with my students. My students record podcasts for my library webpage and we hope to develop that further with other exciting Web 2.0 technologies. My big goal this year is to blog with my students about great books!!
