Kelli Hulslander

Hello. Teaching is my 3rd or 4th career. I am a chemical engineer by college training. And, as a result of my personal passions, I was a Boys & Girls Club director for 10+ years.
I currently work at a charter high school for at-risk youth in New Mexico. For most of our school is the last chance at an education. I am the lead math teacher, which is a subject the majority of our students have never done well in and are scared to take.
I, and a fellow teacher, have started and champion our school's "College Bound - No Excuses" program. We were inspired by the "No Excuses University" program created by Damen Lopez in California. 4 years ago, not one of our graduating seniors went on to higher education. Last year, 13 of the 14 graduating seniors went on to either 2 year or 4 year colleges. Yea!

Areas of Interest:
Education reform,
teacher networking,
college bound programs
