WHAT WORKS IN EDUCATION The George Lucas Educational Foundation

Hudson Don

I taught high school and middle school English for 28.5 years. About ten years into my career I discovered the National Writing Project and a year later I was accepted at the Bread Loaf School Of English at Middlebury Vermont.
I apologize for name dropping but I can't help it. My teachers at Bread Loaf were James Britton, Nancy Martin. James Moffett, Ken Mavrorie,John Elder, Nanci Atwell, and Dixie Goswami. It was Britton and Martin that started the modern quest for literate behavior as the quest for useable learning in the modern world. I was enormously lucky to be at BL at that time.

Areas of Interest:
Literate behavior,
doing workshops and presentations on writing,
dogs and cats,
and trout fishing
