I am the Centre Director of Studies of CELT Athens, an ESL/ELT Teacher Development Centre in Athens, Greece, and I am responsible for the design and implementation of all the programmes offered by CELT. My main teaching/training qualifications are the RSA Diploma in TEFLA (DTEFLA), and an M.A. in Applied Linguistics from the University of Reading in the UK.
I have been a teacher and teacher educator for more than 25 years and am involved in supervising a number of innovative projects, such as aPLaNet, an EU funded project for teachers and social networking, as well as supervising the work of a team of dedicated trainers in areas such as TEFL/TESOL methodology, Teaching translation skills, as well as teaching English and Modern Greek.
I have written materials for children (Basic Grammar Workbooks 1, 2, & 3 published by English Schoolbook Publications), activity books for Cambridge Exams set texts, and numerous articles on Language, Foreign Language Teaching and Education.
Although I am the manager of my centre, I am fully active in the profession as a teacher educator and materials and curriculum design.
