I have been working in educational publishing for almost four decades. Along the way, after many years in reading and language arts, I discovered assessment, by which I mean tests. I took to it like a duck to water and was lucky enough to be guided by true experts as I learned the field. I was the Project Director of the best-selling standardized test in reading as well as a major, and also nationally normed, abilities test.

I've also published quite a lot of educational material, the latest two works being (I know these should be italicized) "This Is a Test: A Handbook for Writing Good Tests" and "Words to Go," a vocabulary program for middle school.

Areas of Interest:
language arts (most specifically vocabulary and grammar
