Tony LaMantia

I have 35 + wonderful years in education. 22 now as an administrator: 12
in primary, 10 in secondary. Taught students with ED, BD, LD challenges. I'm learning challenged and believe to my core that individual learners with special strength and areas for improvement need the right "keys" to unlocking their full potential. Those "keys" must come from non-traditional teaching methods. The creative arts, project based learning, technology, 21st Century Skills, brain/body integration are all highly effective methods of guiding all students of all ages to higher levels of learning and effectiveness. As educators it is our responsibility to help ALL students learn to understand, develop, share and apply their unique academic, social/emotional, physical and spiritual gifts. It is our responsibility to teach to the "Whole" person. This is what we strive to do at our shcool: Porter Elementary School in Mesa AZ

Areas of Interest:
Teaching ot the Whole Child,
Project Based Learning,
Brain Research,
Helping People Reach Thier Full Potential.
