WHAT WORKS IN EDUCATION The George Lucas Educational Foundation

JE Buckingham

My area of specialization is CALL (Computer Assisted Language Learning) a term mostly employed in the world of Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) but appropriate for the instruction and facilitation of all non-native languages. Having done post-grad studies in both Applied Linguistics and TESOL, I worked internationally for many years, finally returning to the U.S. to teach French and Spanish in the K-12 system. I will begin using PBL to teach Spanish at New Tech High in Napa, CA beginning in Aug. 2012.

Areas of Interest:
Intercultural communication,
reading,
white-watering,
music,
and all geekiness in general.
