Tip #22: Give Homemade Treats

Surprising your teacher with homemade goodies is sure-fire way to show your appreciation. Treat them to a family speciality -- giving them a glimpse at what you and your family like to eat -- and recruit the kids to cook with you. Uncomfortable in the kitchen? An easy alternative is putting together homemade cookie mixes -- just put layers of a cookie recipe into a mason jar, add a thank you note (with baking instructions), and tie it up with a pretty ribbon around the lid.

"Every Day in May"

Every day in May we'll be offering up a new way to appreciate teachers.
