Biggest problem: Competent is a synonym of Proficient. So I would change that column to "Inadequate" or "Developing."

For that column I also like "Partially Proficient" or "Needs Improvement."

Here are some instructions for those who want to edit the Google docs version of the rubric. Note that you will need to log in with a Google account. Once logged in, you will have the option to create a copy of the rubric. You will also have the option to download it so you can edit it with the application of your choosing.

Here are the steps:

2. Sign in to your account and access the rubric at:

3. From the rubric, go to the top menu and access "File." Under "File," you will see options to "Make a copy" and "Download as."
