Dr. Stephanie Hatten

District Digital Learning Coordinator, Narrative Researcher, Mom of 4 Digital Natives

I am a District Digital Learning Coordinator specializing in staff development that focuses on improving the instruction, not the tech tools themselves. I have my Doctorate in Educational Leadership with a specialization in Curriculum and Instruction and a Masters in Instructional Technology from the University of Houston- Clear Lake. I believe in authentic learning through PBLS and differentiated staff development following instructional coaching models with co-teaching in the classroom. I research by interviewing and observing teachers in their natural environments, their classrooms, and use my research to share their stories and plight. One of the initiatives I am working with now is to improve our blended learning programs and to differentiate our staff development for our teachers, as well as to teach them how technology can differentiate for their students.
