Happy New Year to all my WL colleagues and friends on the Edutopia WL forum. I hope you enjoyed an excellent time off over the holidays with those you love. I was particularly blessed to have both my sons home, along with my dear niece as well. We had a house full with a 21, a 22 and a 23 year old to liven things up, along with the whirlwind they brought with them – music, noise, food, drinks, friends, movies, energy... Oh, and mess! And now that they have each gone back to their respective universities, life has returned to its calm and orderly routine, until the next visit. I can't wait! My colleagues at #langchat and I have a New Year's gift for you. I am very excited about this resource, as it represents a lot of work and is full of many practical ideas for using tech tools to help our students acquire another language. Our new eBook is called simply, Web Tools for the 21st Century World Language Classroom, and we're offeringing it for the incredible sum of free! You'll find inside the electronic pages not only several recommended web 2.0 tools, but numerous ideas of how to use the tools to help kids learn languages. You can download the PDF file at the link below, and load it on your iPad, Kindle, Nook or other eReader. Don't wait to get your copy. Click below! Please post some feedback – we'd love to know what you think. If we get good feedback, and suggestions for improvements, we'll be keen to publish another eBook. What topics might you like to see addressed in such a resource? Thanks for your interest. We'll look forward to your reactions. All the best, Don
