Hello, I just joined this group, but getting young people interested in projects has been a passion of mine for the last several years. I am just starting up a new website which is about resources, projects, and videos about science. The model airplane website I started several years ago went over a quarter million views a few months ago. The projects I have done with young people have been model airplanes, kites, and water rockets. Presently I building model solar cars because I am interested in the Junior Solar Competition. Sounds great! I bet the kids love what you do! I too am passionate about projects and getting students interested in doing them and expanding what they are learning into a more "real world" experience. If it was up to me, I would rarely (if ever!) give paper and pencil tests. There are just too many more creative ways to have kids show what they know!
