I'm a former teacher and mom who is looking to reenter the profession after taking time off to stay home with my kids. I have a master's with an emphasis in educational technology, but my skills and knowledge are in need of refreshing ... Can anyone recommend a good online program leading to a certificate in educational technology or technology integration? I'd prefer a CA-based school, but am open to others -- I just don't know which ones are truly reputable. Any input would be much appreciated!

Ironically, I am a current California teacher who is taking a classes (online) through the University of Florida. I am getting my K-12 Technology Integration certificate, which is only 3 classes (one per trimester). I found your thread today while doing an assignment! :) It is roughly $1600 a class (for out-of-state and off-campus). Not too shabby!

Hope this helps!

I am working on my masters in EdTech from Boise State.

Entirely online. Almost completely asynchronous. About $1300 a class, for 11 classes (comes to about $14k), includes a certificate with couple options about which, at no cost.

I am CA teacher, with a 2 and a 4 year old. I do most of my work once the kids go down.

I searched long and hard for EdTech pograms. BSU was not only the least expensive, but also seemed to have the most thought behind it. They have been doing it for a long time. They are also one of the few that is ENTIRELY online with no campus visiting!
