I read "What's That Shadow?" by Christopher L. Harbo as our introduction to shadows for my kindergarten kids. We look at shadow pictures, and a marvelous YouTube video of hand shadows--I've put the links on a Glogster page here: Follow-up activities include reading other books about shadows, playing with a Folkmanis groundhog puppet, and making shadows with flashlights.
