Hi! Thanks to everyone who has jumped in and helped get these groups going. We're launching to the public tomorrow! (woot!) I'd love to hear from folks what other groups are of interest. Here's a list I've gotten in the last couple of days: English Language Learners Social Justice and Education Race to the Money (er, Top) Librarian/Media Specialist Native American Entrepreneurship Education Got other ideas? Please let me know! And/or if you know of someone who might be a good facilitator, let me know that too. Thanks!

Social Studies might be a good group. Not sure of possible facilitators. On twitter search #historyteacher or #geographyteacher perhaps.

It would be great to have a group of folks who could bring technology tips and tricks as well as websites that are useful in the classroom.

I know it sounds a bit Oprah, but how about discussing books. For example - Alfie Kohn's "The Homework Myth" or "The Schools Our Children Deserve", Paul Houston's "No Challenge Left Behind: Transforming American Education through Heart and Soul." We could look at Jerome Bruner's works, including In Search of Pedagogy, volume 2 or his wonderful "The Culture of Education." We could also look at the various other people who have described ways to organize schools such as Thomas Lickona, Educating for Character" or Jane Roland Martin's "Schoolhome" Perhaps if any get a large group discussion, you could have the author be part of one of the webcasts. I can provide a longer list of possible books if you wish.

Thanks so much.
