WPSchool ( http://WPSchool.org ) is the first Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) for WordPress. It's a multi-lingual platform to help everyone teach and learn WordPress, with an organized and educational approach.
WordPress is the World's most popular "web publishing platform". Currently 21.2% of the total internet content is published on the sites that are powered by WordPress. Without any programming knowledge WordPress allows a user to create almost any kind of Web-Sites and even Mobile Apps. Now with the method that we are developing at WPSchool, learning and using WordPress will be even faster and much more efficient. We offer lots of great features and practical training.
This summer we want to take WordPress to the schools for K8 and K9 students. We are looking for 20 schools who participate in our pioneer program, each school must provide at least 20 volunteer students.
The students must not be chosen based on their academic scores, we like to have any type of students with any background and talent.
The Students will take a course to learn what is web, how to use a web-server, how to install WordPress, and how to create a number of website for different applications.
There are some perks along with the course including a Web-Hosting package that worth nearly $200.00
The School and/or participants should not pay anything. It's a FREE program.
Each school can introduce one student advisor who will also receive a free training account and shall observe the course and the training process.
For more than 20 participants the training cost is $149.00 per head.
The program takes less than 50 hours of learning, practicing and includes a final project.
The participants who complete the course will receive a professional certificate and will have a chance to continue their training towards more advanced levels.
Except the passion to learn the participants don't need to have any skills.
