Full-time position for the 2013-14 school year:

High School Art Educator (Search Re-Opened)

With background in architecture, interior, or industrial design, and strong technology skills including CAD or 3D design software.
3D printing, model-making, or shop experience a plus. Certification Required.

(Note: This instructor is currently scheduled to teach Architecture I, II, and III, Invention & Technology, although the offerings may evolve the following year to suit the strengths of the new instructor and student interest. Although nominally an art position, it could probably be recast as a technology position. We are eager to continue our successful architecture program, but also to explore expanding it into industrial design / product design / physical model-making / 3D printing / pre-engineering / CAD / and STE(A)M. We just got a MakerBot 3D printer and the kids are ecstatic over it! The instructor will have full dedicated Mac lab equipped with drafting tables together with shared access to a tool shop (for physical models) next door.)

Qualified candidates should submit a completed professional application, resume, letter of application, certification, transcripts, and three letters of reference to the Superintendent's Office. Professional Application can be found at: or at the Superintendent of Schools Office, 4 Pine Street, Vineyard Haven, (508)693.2009

Deadline: Noon Tuesday, July 16, 2013.
