Position Title: K12 Program Manager Position Type: Full-time, exempt (minimum of 40 hours/week) Job Location: This is a telecommuting position, until otherwise changed by Quality Matters™ Reports to: QM Director of Administration Goals: • To support implementation of the strategic goals and objectives of the Quality Matters™ Program, as defined by the Quality Matters leadership and approved by the MOL Board of Directors, through the administration of all aspects of Quality Matters K12 Program. • To support Quality Matters leaders toward the achievement of the Quality Matters Program’s philosophy, mission, strategy, and its annual goals and objectives. Responsibilities: • Lead market development efforts for QM’s K12 program o Provide strategic direction for marketing initiatives o Provide recommendations for pricing of subscriptions, courses and workshops, reviews and other services for the K12 market o Identify and represent QM at key K12 conferences and related events, creating and delivering presentations and staffing exhibits as appropriate. o Attend meetings and negotiate with potential K12 subscribing organizations • Oversee subscription management and contract compliance for K12 program • Oversee Current K12 Professional Development Curriculum o Conduct on-going review of current offerings and schedules, both online and F2F o Oversee activities and evaluate recommendations from QM Facilitators o Review and coordinate assessment activities and lead changes where required o Recommend changes in relevant policies and practices to QM leadership o Propose course development and redevelopment schedule annually o Make edits to courses as needed o Lead strategic K12 training initiatives • Manage K12 Course and Workshop Development o Identify needs and lead development effort for new products and services in support of the QM Business Plan and annual budgets o Identify appropriate consultants/vendors and manage any course development contracts engaged in by QM; design and develop new offerings as needed o Ensure new offerings, and changes to existing offerings, are consistent in type, style, philosophy, and quality with the QM post-secondary curriculum o Identify technology needs for current and future courses and work with QM technology staff to acquire and implement the technologies • Manage K12 Course and Workshop Delivery o Ensure all courses are professionally executed on schedule and within budget o Oversee efforts to identify and develop new QM facilitators and participate in their preparation o Troubleshoot issues in scheduled, active, and completed courses o Contract and manage all facilitators and other contractors as needed for training delivery. • Manage Internal and External Relationships o Communicate (phone, email, website, etc. ) K12 professional development products and processes as needed to clients and QM staff o Coordinate with QM Professional Development staff and facilitators as necessary to enforce QM standards, policies and practices across the curriculum. o Supervise K12 Program Coordinator o Prepare and share annual report that includes accomplishments, budgetary recommendations, etc. o Represent QM K12 Professional Development at external events • Collaborate as a member of the Quality Matters Team o Coordinate and cooperate with Quality Matters staff to ensure the Program and its mission, programs, products and services are consistently presented in a strong, positive image to relevant stakeholders. o Participate in weekly staff meetings – from a distance or in-person as determined by Quality Matters Director o Attend in-person QM conferences and any required organizational or planning meetings • Other Duties As Assigned Technology Proficiencies Moodle, Microsoft Office, Google applications, Alfresco, SoftChalk, Drupal, video formats, file system naming protocols and management Qualifications The applicant must be self-starter, capable of being productive in a virtual office environment. A master’s degree in education or equivalent is required. Applicants must have a have a minimum of 5 years professional experience in a K 12 environment. Teaching, instructional design experience, and administrative responsibility will all be considered, but recent involvement with online instruction as teacher, designer, or program manager will be given preference. The successful candidate will be very organized with excellent writing skills, outstanding interpersonal, verbal and customer service skills, as well as acute attention to detail.
